During the Triathlon 101 series, USA Triathlon Coaches Colin Cook and Jay Francis cover what you need to know to successfully complete your first triathlon.  Using the Greater Nashua Sprint Tri as the example, they will address course details, equipment, training, rules, and race hints.  Attendees will receive a training plan specifically designed to prepare for the Greater Nashua Sprint Tri.      

While this series is geared towards first-time triathletes, the information could be helpful to triathletes of all levels.  Colin and Jay will also be answering any of your triathlon related questions.  Please come take advantage of this excellent opportunity to prepare yourself for a great event.    

Colin Cook is a certified USA Triathlon and Swimming coach, as well as a certified Functional Movement Systems (FMS) screener.  He runs Peak Triathlon Coaching based in Pepperell, MA coaching athletes of all levels, and coaches the Y Tri Swim class at the Nashua YMCA.  Colin continues to compete himself; is an Ironman finisher; and has many triathlon age group wins and podium finishes.

Jay Francis is the owner of eXphy fitness testing, dedicated to helping people better understand their bodies.  Jay holds a master's degree in exercise science; has coaching certifications from USA Cycling, Track & Field, and Triathlon; and is a competitive cyclist, runner, and triathlete.

Please Note:  The March, April, and May classes are identical and are classroom based (just bring paper and something to write with).  June is a "how-to" transition class - bring all your race gear for practice.
